What is Leaves Module 

The Leaves Module, is where Admins can digitalised the Leave application and management process for the company. Admins are able configure leave policies accordingly, view and manage employee's leave requests and balances as well as configure the approval routings. There are several steps that must be completed in Setting up the Leaves Module : 


1. Complete Set Up of People Module 

2. Set Up Approval Routings

3. Set Up Work Days

4. Set Up Holidays 

5. Set Up Leave Policies

6. Import Leave Requests

7. Modify Leave Balances if needed

8. Configure Leave Request Limit if needed


What are Leave Policies 


Leave Policies are the different types of Leaves that employees can apply for, along with their own set of rules, restrictions, entitlements and limits. Admins are able to customise each policy to reflect their company's way of work, including setting the eligibility of certain employees to apply for certain policies and managing the leave policy entitlements.. There are 5 Categories of Leave Policies that Admins can Set Up.  


What is Archiving Leave Policies. 


Admins are able to Archive Leave Policies that are no longer in use. This will disable the policy as well as move it to the Archived Policies tab. 


To archive leave policies:


  1. On your admin dashboard, head to the left panel.
  2. Select Leaves > Policies.
  3. Select Edit on the Leave Policy that needs to be archived.


  4. Scroll down. Click Archive Leave Policy.

  5. Confirm by clicking OK.

  6. You can view or restore your archived policy from the Archived Policies tab.


To Restore Archived Policies 

  • On your admin dashboard, head to the left panel.
  • Select Leaves > Policies.
  • Select Archived Policies
  • Select Restore on the Archived policy that needs to be restored
