What is time tracking
The time tracking module on AltHR allows you to view and set up a digital “clock in, clock out” system for your employees.
What is a Time Tracking Team
A Time Tracking Team is created to group employees with different clock in/clock out times or requirements.
Example: You may have a group of employees who usually clock in at a particular branch of your company, and you intend to ensure that employees are in the right location when they clock in and clock out. You may create a Time Tracking Team for this branch and turn on Geofence Clock In for this location.
Example: You may have employees who work on the Night shift and have a different set of Working Hours than other employees. You may create a Time Tracking team for Night Shift, and set the respective working hours in this team for these employees.
How to manage your team as a Team Leader in the time tracking module
An admin would have to create a team and add you as a team leader. Once you have been configured as a team leader, you can manage your team’s time tracking settings via https://admin.althr.my/.
There are a few things that a team leader can do in the time tracking module via the admin dashboard:
1. View and edit the time sheet of all your team members.
2. Download and generate a new QR code for clocking in and out.
3. Edit your team. For example, by adding a new team member.
4. Change validation settings for clocking in and out.
5. Download time tracking reports.
To view and edit the time sheet of all your team members
- On the left panel of your admin dashboard, head to Time Tracking.
- Go to Timesheets
- Select the employee you wish to edit time sheets
- Select View
- Select the time session and click Edit.
Note: You will only be able to edit time sessions that are not Manual Clock In
- Edit the date and time of clock in and clock out as needed
- Add a break if needed
- Add a remark if needed
- Click Save to save changes
- You may also view any changes that has been made to the time session by scrolling down to Change Log
- Click on View Changes
- The Change Log will show what changes have been made, and who has made these changes, as well as their remarks.
To download and generate a new QR code for clocking in and out:
On the left panel of your admin dashboard, head to Time Tracking.
Click the Settings tab.
Click the Teams tab.
Click on the QR code icon to show the QR code for your different teams.
- Click Refresh QR to refresh to a new QR code or click Download QR to download the QR code
To edit your team. For example, by adding a new team member:
On the left panel of your admin dashboard, head to Time Tracking.
Click the Settings tab.
Click the Teams tab.
Under a team, click on the Edit icon.
Scroll down. Select team members.
Confirm by clicking Confirm.
To change validation settings for clocking and out:
On the left panel of your admin dashboard, head to Time Tracking.
Click the Settings tab.
Click the Teams tab.
Under a team, click on the Edit icon.

To download time tracking reports:
1. On the left panel of your admin dashboard, head to Time Tracking.
2. Click the Reports tab.
3. Select Generate Reports.
4. Select a Project if needed.
5. Select Report type. You will have 3 Options of Reports: Detailed, Summary, Timesheet Audit Log
6. Select the Date Range of the timesheets you would like to include in the report.
7. Click on Generate Report.
