What is the Asset Management
The Asset Management module helps admins manage company assets. You can build an inventory, track the current status of an asset as well as who the asset is assigned to.
Before creating assets on altHR, you will first need to create asset categories and subcategories.
Example:
Asset Category - Vehicle
Asset Sub-category - Private vehicle and commercial vehicle.
There is no absolute way to categorise your assets, it is highly customisable according to your company needs. You can create custom fields to store additional information for your assets and attach statuses (such as available, maintenance and retired) to your assets to further classify them.
To create asset categories:
1. On the left panel of your admin dashboard, head to Others > Asset Management > Settings.
2. Click Create Asset Category.
3. Enter asset category name and description.
4. Create statuses for your asset.
5. Click Add Custom Fields.
6. Confirm by clicking Confirm.
To create asset sub-categories:
1. On the left panel of your admin dashboard, head to Others > Asset Management > Settings.
2. Click the Asset Sub-Category tab.
3. Click Create Asset Sub-Category.
4. Enter details of the subcategory.
5. Set Limit of Assignment.
6. Confirm by clicking Confirm.
