What is Public Holiday (PH) calendar?

Public Holiday's calendar in altHR allows the Admin to set up and configure the PH based on the observance list by their own company. 

For Malaysia PH - altHR set up the list of PH by adhering to the official guidelines & regulations:

• Malaysia PH 2025 list follows the official release by Prime Minister office (released on July'24): https://www.kabinet.gov.my/bkpp/pdf/hari_kelepasan_am/hka_2025.pdf
• Replacement of PH:
  1. For Kelantan, Kedah, and Terengganu: Replacing PH falls on SATURDAY to SUNDAY, as the official Rest Day for these 4 states is every Saturday.
     
     
  2. For Other states in Malaysia (including Johor): Replacing PH falls on SUNDAY to MONDAY.
     
     Update as of 11 Oct 2024 - Johor reverts weekends to Sat & Sun
     
     As Johor has announced to revert weekends to Saturday & Sunday: https://www.malaymail.com/news/malaysia/2024/10/07/tmj-johor-going-back-to-saturday-sunday-weekends-from-january-2025/152816)
     
     With this being said, the official Rest Day for Johor will change to Sunday in 2025, so for those company that has office in Johor, please;
     
     1.  Check & Update your Johor PH 2025 
     • The system is ADDING 2 replacement PH to the Johor PH that falls on Sunday in 2025:
     • 3 Mar 2025 - Awal Ramadan (Replacement)
     • 24 Mar 2025 - Sultan of Johor's Birthday (Replacement)
     • The system is REMOVING 2 PH from the Johor that falls on Monday in 2025:
       • 9 Jun 2025 - Hari Raya Qurban Day 1 (Replacement)
       • 1 Sep 2025 - Merdeka Day (Replacement)

Important: altHR will default toggled ON all of the PHs for National and the State Holidays for the relevant state office calendar, therefore, IF your company DO NOT OBSERVE all of the National/State Holidays, please remember to TOGGLE OFF the respective PH!
