Frequently asked questions

1. When will altHR services be discontinued?

Employee access will cease on 31 December 2026 and will be permanently disabled from 1 January 2027 onwards. Administrator access to the Admin Dashboard will remain available until 31 January 2027 and will be permanently disabled from 1 February 2027 onwards.

2. Is altHR being replaced by another solution?

At this time, altHR is being discontinued and will not be directly replaced by another solution. Customers are encouraged to evaluate and migrate to an HR solution that best meets their business requirements.

3. Can employees continue using altHR until the service cessation date?

Yes. Employees may continue accessing altHR and performing their usual HR transactions, including leave applications and profile updates, until 31 December 2026. Employee access will be permanently disabled from 1 January 2027 onwards. Administrator access will remain available until 31 January 2027.

4. What happens to employee login access after 31 December 2026?

From 1 January 2027, all employee access to altHR will be disabled. Employees will no longer be able to log in or retrieve information directly from the platform. We strongly recommend that organisations complete any necessary migration activities to their new HR solution before this date.

5. Can administrators still access the system after employee access is disabled?

Yes. An extended administrator access period will be provided from 1 January 2027 to 31 January 2027, during which administrators can continue accessing the Admin Dashboard for data export, backup and migration purposes. No employee access will be available during this period.

6. Can administrators continue performing HR operations during January 2027?

The January 2027 extension period is intended primarily for data retrieval and migration activities. Customers should transition day-to-day HR operations to their new HR platform by 31 December 2026.

7. What data can be exported from altHR?

Administrators may export available employee and HR records through the Admin Dashboard, using the steps for each module above, before the cessation of service. We encourage administrators to review and verify all required data exports early to ensure a complete migration.

8. Will my data be deleted after the cessation of service?

Following the cessation of service, customer data will be retained and disposed of in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory and internal data retention requirements. Customers should ensure all necessary records are exported before the service cessation date.

9. Will customer support still be available during the transition period?

Yes. Customers may continue to contact support@althr.my for assistance relating to platform access, data exports and migration-related issues from 1 November 2026 until 31 January 2027.

10. Can we continue paying for and using altHR after the service cessation date?

No. The discontinuation applies to all external altHR customers. Employee access will cease on 31 December 2026 and administrator access will cease on 31 January 2027. Continued usage beyond these dates will not be available.
